Meet the Artist

Hi and welcome to Yumnas Art! I have been doing henna for about five years now. My motivation for henna has always been my grandmother and mother. I used to draw prior to beginning my journey with henna. My grandmother once saw me and brought me a henna cone to draw with. Since then I've just never stopped. Where does my mother play into this? Well, she's definitely made sure I practice. The first time I applied henna on her she found it soothing and relaxing. Now she brings me all my henna supplies, so that I can put her to sleep. There is not a time now when her arms are not covered in henna ^_^

I definitely love applying henna because of the people I am able to meet. Henna allows people from all walks of life to come together. I've had amazing conversations and shared wonderful laughs with complete strangers. I know that henna is something I will never let go of. That's enough about me.
